"DA MOVEMENT"

What is Da Movement?

Da Movement is a one-of-its-kind initiative, able to retain its foundation as a grassroots, underground arts movement of and by the people, while still developing some of the most popular events in Accra's nightlife. The busy event shows music fans and industry professionals are eager for entertainment that is both conscious and innovative in focus and delivery.

Da Movement is turning the entertainment industry in Ghana on its ear. Comprised of a fluid and diverse group of untapped and recognized artists, da movement operates with the singular vision of taking music, arts and culture in Ghana to revolutionary new heights. Pooling their resources, experiences, connections and talents, the artists behind Da Movement come together to plan monthly artist showcase events, each organized around a central theme. Da Movement operates from a platform of cooperative development, whereby the artists involved donate their time and resources.

In return, artists are given the opportunity to showcase their talents before a large audience and aid the creation of a supportive and dynamic artists' community in Ghana. Through involvement with Da Movement, each event features billed artists, with the opportunity for additional artists who fit the evening's theme to come on stage.

Da Movement's Mission:

To help artists gain connections within the industry, improve their skills through close contact with other talents, and receive invaluable support for their own personal projects.
